The Achievers 4-H Club will have their July 4-H meeting on 7-2-17 at 7pm in the basement of Sacred Heart Church in Baileyville.
Roll call will be "What is your favorite project?" The club will be planning the club tour, fair events and end of year activities. Club Tour committee is Mia and Evan. Program will be by Chloey, Preston and Evan. If you haven't given a talk this year you are welcome to give one today! Snacks are by Isabella. Recreation will be by Malissa. Who: Achievers 4-H Club
What: Bake Sale When: Sunday May 7th, 2017 at 9:30am following Mass Where: Outside Sacred Heart Church Why: To raise help raise funds for camps and educational opportunities *Please be on time for setting up. We need to bring some tables up from the basement and mark items. **All members are to bring 2 items to the bake sale with a total of 4 items per family ***Set up will begin at 9am. Church has been getting out early so we have to be ready sooner. On April 2nd, in Baileyville, Colton Koch led the Achiever's 4-H meeting. Sawyer lead the 4-H pledge and the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 14 members and 3 cloverbuds present. Emi read the minutes and we sang Happy Birthday to Emi, Colton and Megan. Evan gave the treasure's report and Pam gave the leader's report. Malissa reported that the bake sale will be on May 7th and each 4-Her is to bring 2 items. District 4-H program manager Deb Henry, was a special guest at our meeting and told us of changes coming in the district. In business, the club decided to hold the next meeting immediately following the bake sale. Then Colton gave a demonstration and the meeting was concluded. Next meeting is May 7th following the bake sale at 9:30am.
Malissa Deters - Reporter January 15, 2017 - Achievers held their January 4-H meeting. Thank you notes were sent to the Waller family and Baileyville KofC for the Auction Food Stand held in December. Members signed up to help with clean up or setup for 4-H days. Also members signed up to help with the judging contest during 4-H days. 4-H County Days were held on February 18 at SPPS School in Seneca. Mia gave a project talk on her photography project.
December 4, 2016 - 4-H meeting and worked on preparing in advance some of the food for the auction food stand scheduled for the following weekend.
December 10, 2016 (during the day) - Auction lunch stand held at the the Waller home during their farm auction. Thank you to the Waller family for allowing us to hold have the lunch stand. Also thank you to the Baileyville Knights of Columbus for donating soup from their soup day for us to sell. December 10, 2016 (7pm - 9pm) - Achievers Christmas party! We ate pizza and leftovers from lunch stand. Members enjoyed board games and listening to Christmas music. 4-Hers brought items to donate to the area elementary schools. To celebrate 4-H week, the Achievers 4-H Club recorded radio ads, created posters to promote 4-H, held a bake sale and held a bowling party to start off the 4-H year.
