October 4th - County-wide Painting Project with 48 Hours of 4-H: "Operation Bleacher Blast" We are asking all available 4-H club members, volunteers, Fair Board members, 4-H alumni or anyone who wants to help, to join us at the fairgrounds in Seneca on October 4th, 10:00 am to paint and repair bleachers. This will be a joint effort with the Nemaha County Fair Board and City of Seneca, to work on all bleachers utilized around the fairgrounds. Please bring paint brushes, gloves, other painting supplies and come dressed to paint.
October 5th - 12th - National 4-H Week
October 5th - Achievers 4-H Enrollment Party at Seneca Bowl at 1pm
October 9th - Record Book Judging 9am - 6pm at the Community Building in the Meeting room.
October 12th - Achievers #484H event - Bake Sale to benefit Seneca Food Bank at 11am following Mass on the front steps of St. Mary's Church in St. Benedict. Don't forget to bring 2 items per 4-Her!
October 12th - 4-H swim during national 4-H week at the Hornet's Nest in Netawaka on October 12, 2014 from noon to 2pm. Rosette Randel, along with Waddell and Reed, is helping the 4-H Council sponsor the swim and fun day (basketball courts open too!) This coincides with their regular "open facility" day running from 2 to 6 pm, so 4-H Families are welcome to spend the day, come later as needed, etc..., but the official 4-H Council event will be noon to 2.
October 20th - Officer Training at the Northridge Church in Sabetha with more information upcoming soon. All officers from President through Recreation Leaders are welcome to attend and this is a requirement for the club seal!
